Needles:  To dispose of sharps (needles), the FDA suggests putting them in empty bleach or detergent bottles and securely closing the top with duct tape.  The outside of the container should be clearly marked “SHARPS – DO NOT RECYCLE.”  You can then place it in your normal trash to be picked up by Pro Waste.

Medication:  Medication disposal is a growing concern; studies show trace amounts of pharmaceuticals in drinking water supplies, and abuse of prescription medications found in homes continues to climb.
