  • 3rd Thursdays are… Therapy Dog Days!  Drop in and spend time talking with our favorite four legged friends. This is a FREE event open to all patrons of all ages.

Oceans of Origami – Monday, August 8, 6:30– 7:30pm

  • It’s Summer Reading’s last “hurrah!” Fold a fish! Crease a crustacean! Make a paper boat that floats! Beginner and experienced folders welcome. Supplies provided, registration required.

Fitness Fridays: Chair Fitness – Friday, August 12 & Friday, August 26, 10:30– 11:00am

  • Get fit while you sit! Join Iroquois Library’s Jessica Stefano for a 30-minute low impact seated stretch, breathing, and fitness class that will help strengthen your mind and your body. Though this program is designed for seniors, all are welcome.

Super Spy Saturday – Saturday, August 20, 1:00– 3:00pm

  • Do you have what it takes to be a spy? Dodge lasers, match fingerprints, hunt for clues, and discover some spy-tastic books. Drop in any time during the event.

Morse Code Jewelry – Monday, August 22, 6:00– 7:00pm

  • From hidden tattoos to coded quilts, tree carvings to beaded jewelry, secret messages have been hidden in plain sight for millennia. Join us to make your own coded message using beads and Morse code.  Registration Required.

Community Art Project

  • Tuesday, August 23, 12:30–2:00pm
  • Saturday, August 27, 1:00– 3:00pm

Be part of our “Home is Where the He-art is” collaborative art project! Create your piece during one of our “open studio” times, or pick up a canvas and work on it at home. Return it by Sept 2nd, and it will be added to our display case for the month!
